Electoral Mapping for the Press
I produce election-result maps by polling station (precinct, ward), by street and by building, ready for publication, within 24 hours of an election. This approach combines speed, geographic precision and journalistic value, and has already been featured in Le Monde, Le Monde Diplomatique and several French regional newspapers. Maps are delivered in the format required by each outlet (print or digital), accompanied by a concise editorial commentary. For the 2026 Quebec provincial elections, the 2027 French legislative elections, the 2029 Belgian general elections, or any local or national election across Europe, I am available to work with newsrooms in any language.
Conferences and Training
I deliver talks and training sessions for political parties, local authorities (collectivités territoriales, gemeenten, Kommunen), political science schools, consulting firms and media organisations on electoral cartography, political marketing, electoral marketing and territorial voter targeting. Flexible formats: one-hour lecture, half-day seminar, full-day training workshop, in person or via videoconference. Content tailored to the audience: local elected officials, party executives, campaign volunteers, students, journalists, researchers. Training topics include working with publicly available election data, strategic reading of election results at polling station and ward level, building a targeted door-to-door canvassing strategy (porte-à-porte, huis-aan-huis, Haustürwahlkampf), and hands-on introduction to mapping tools such as QGIS.
Commercial Geomarketing and Territorial Strategy
Electoral geomarketing is one specific application of a broader skillset: fine-grained territorial analysis to inform strategic decisions. The same statistical and cartographic methods serve other purposes: retail site selection, catchment area studies (zones de chalandise, verzorgingsgebieden), territorial diagnostics for local government, impact mapping for urban planning studies, market analysis for property developers, and positioning a commercial offer within a given area. I am open to any bespoke territorial analysis project in retail, real estate, urban planning, marketing, public health, education or any other sector where fine-grained geography has strategic value. The methods are the same, the artisanal standards equally high.
Expertise for Researchers and Specialist Media
I collaborate on a project basis with researchers in political science, electoral sociology and human geography, as well as with specialist media outlets, for in-depth analyses of election campaigns or territorial phenomena. My work draws on 15 years of accumulated experience across France, Belgium, Tunisia and French-speaking Africa, with publications in Le Monde, Le Monde Diplomatique, the peer-reviewed journals Belgeo and L’Espace Politique, and contributions to collective works including Emmanuel Todd’s analysis of class struggle in contemporary France (Seuil, 2020).
